Let’s Get Started with this Simple and Powerful Relaxation Technique
This is an easy relaxation technique that you can use immediately as a quick and effective method to re-balance the bodymind:
- Take a long deep breath, focusing on the air as it travels from your nose, into your lungs. Imagine that it continues right through to the tips of your toes, and back up again to your lungs.
- For maximum effect count to 7 until you reach your toes and continue to count to 14 as you release your breath slowly.
- Repeat this breathing 3 times, taking the care to breathe evenly.
- Once you have completed the focused breathing, tap on the top of your head and your heart simultaneously over another two deep breaths.
The breath scans the frequencies of the body’s energy and brings the information back to the brain to recalibrate.
In addition to having a well developed positive mind set to conquer stress, it is important to look after the physical body so that you can operate at your optimum level of health. The body is ultimately designed for movement as well as relaxation, and it is wise to honor it with both for maximum performance.
Regular exercise, plenty of sleep and good nutrition are fundamental to our ability to bounce back in the face of stress.
When we nourish the physical body with fresh organic produce and clean water, and practice an effective relaxation technique, we increase our chances of a long healthy life.
Stress makes you feel like your life is a mess, and forces you to look for desperate solutions to your situation. When we are reactive we make a habit of looking for quick fixes that make us feel temporarily better. Unfortunately they usually don’t work. They satisfy us in the immediate moment and then we are back to feeling stressed again.
Resist the temptation to grab convenience foods from the supermarket. While these may save time in the preparation of your dinner, fast foods contain preservatives and additives that put pressure on our digestive systems. The amount of sugar that these foods contain to make them taste good, create cravings that ultimately produce obesity. They are not energising and usually deplete you of motivation.
When you eat fresh healthy food with the right mindset, gratitude relaxes the bodymind, and digestion is maximised. Remember that what we think and how we feel impacts on our health and well-being.
Releasing your trapped emotions is essential for vitality.
Much of our responsive behaviour is directed by beliefs that lurk deep within our sub conscious mind. Many of these ideas accumulate over a lifetime and remain unchallenged “truths” that determine our reactions. In essence, we are slaves to our programming from our childhoods. Even though we may not remember the conversations and events that have happened, the emotions lock them down at a cellular level.
Unless we have a relaxation technique that we practice regularly to release emotions as they occur, we shove them down and allow them to surface as uncontrolled outbursts. We run the risk of blaming others for what we are experiencing.
If you want more energy, and to feel more in control of your life, take some time for yourself now to transform your stress into success.

[…] 1. Plenty of fresh air to clear out the lungs. The ancient Chinese knew that we energetically store grief in our lungs. If we have experienced great loss we may still have unexpressed emotions sitting on our chest. If we take long even breaths we can relax and focus on releasing our stress so that more oxygen can energise the blood.Have a look at the technique at http://www.energiseyourlife.com […]
